hi there! i’m emily, and i take photos.

i take photos of lots of different things, but people are my favorite. i love to shoot portraits and events, and i strive to show people how they really are in the moments that i capture. i want my photos to tell you about the people in them, and i want those people to be able to look at their photos and remember feelings that can otherwise be hard to capture.

i also like sushi, wes anderson movies, banjos, pinterest, my dog charlie, chai tea, young adult fiction, and planning my vacations to the point of obsession & spreadsheets.

i like to bring a second shooter/assistant with me to portrait sessions and weddings. his name is channing, and i’m sure you’ll like him as much as i do (he’s my boyfriend, by the way). he’s great with kids, crazy relatives, and wild animals, and he’s quite handy in a multitude of stressful situations.
