hi there! i’m emily, and i take photos.
i take photos of lots of different things, but people are my favorite. i love to shoot portraits and events, and i strive to show people how they really are in the moments that i capture. i want my photos to tell you about the people in them, and i want those people to be able to look at their photos and remember feelings that can otherwise be hard to capture.
i graduated from a small liberal arts school in upstate new york in 2009 with my BA in studio art. originally intending to work for disney for five months on a college program internship, i ended up becoming a permanent transplant to central florida and worked as a photopass photographer for almost two years. during that time, i realized that i wanted to be in creative control of the images i created for people, and decided to start my own company so that i could capture the magic on my own terms. e. gilbert photography was created in the fall of 2010 and i never looked back.
as a self-proclaimed geek, i love all things nerdy & kitschy. i’m a foodie, but i also have a strange affinity for junk food & all things overly salty. i watch way too much television while i edit my photos. i love anything disney, star wars, or marvel, baz luhrman or wes anderson. if you let me loose in a craft store or target, i’ll be gone for hours. i love firefly, harry potter, jurassic park, and scott pilgrim. i also love my dog charlie & cat godfrey, basically any and all hot tea, young adult fiction, and planning my vacations to the point of obsession & spreadsheets.
i love capturing weddings of all kinds, but i specialize in telling the stories of couples who choose to express their love in less traditional ways – ways that feel true to who they are. if you’re planning a wedding that’s styled after your personalities, i might be the right photographer for you. e. gilbert photography offers affordable & creative wedding photography in orlando & central florida.

weddings
every wedding booked includes a 1-hour engagement session, to get to know you and so you can get to know me! if you book a standard engagement session and then decide to book your wedding with me afterwards, i’ll be happy to include a product credit with your wedding.
wedding investment starts at $2250. if you are interested in my full wedding investment information for 2019, please contact me by email – hello@emilyrgilbert.com – or the contact forms on my blog or website. hourly coverage for elopements & intimate weddings is also available.
i currently offer a 10% discount on all disney fairytale weddings!
portraits
portrait sessions for couples (including engagements and proposals) or families start at $350. please contact me for full investment information.

other sessions
headshot sessions are discounted from standard portrait sessions. headshot sessions are $175 for 1 hour, or $250 for 2 hours, and include a password protected online proofing gallery & a disc or download of 10 fully edited session images, prepared for print & web, as well as all of your images in low-res for web use!
headshot mini-sessions are shorter headshot sessions that are discounted. this discount only applies for professional, theatre, or corporate headshots of one person – it does not apply for senior portraits, or any other type of portrait session. headshot mini-sessions are for two looks {roughly 30 minutes} for $75 or three/four looks {roughly 45 minutes} for $100, and include a password protected online proofing gallery & a disc or download of 5 fully edited session images, prepared for print & web, as well as all of your images in low-res for web use!
theatre production & restaurant photography are a completely different type of ‘session’ – if you’re interested in having me photograph your theatre production, or your restaurant/food, please contact me for more information & my hourly rate.
