the c. family {celebration cake smash photographer}

meet alyssa and her parents! alyssa is turning one, so we took some family photos for the occasion.

after we finished up family photos, it was time for a special treat for the birthday girl – her smash cake! this was my first time being lucky enough to be involved in a cake smash session, and i can’t wait to do it again!

seriously, how cute is she? i’m not sure if she actually ate any of her cake, but she was having fun and that’s what matters.

alyssa really did not want anything to do with her birthday hat, despite the fact that it matched her fabulous bib and diaper cover perfectly. i’m thrilled that we managed to get a shot of her wearing it while she was distracted by her cake.

the entire time before her cake smash, miss alyssa tried to make a run for any kind of water or fountain that we saw. after she covered herself in chocolate cake and it was okay for her to go into the fountains, she had zero interest in being anywhere near the water. kids are funny that way.
