keelin & sam’s elopement is definitely going to go down as one of my favorite weddings of all time. when a couple clicks with you so well, and trusts you as a vendor as deeply as these two did, there’s no way you could ask for anything more. keelin first contacted me with a very, very loose idea of what their wedding day would look like, and we worked together to plan their timeline, find locations, and they even ended up booking my fiance to be their (pirate!) officiant. even though we didn’t meet until channing & i arrived at their airbnb, it felt like spending a day celebrating with two close friends, which is what i hope for with all of my couples. this wedding was offbeat in the best ways, and i hope to be a part of many more like it in the future!
whistle rings!! if you don’t get why they chose these as their wedding rings, i’ll explain in a minute…
back to the rings: keelin & sam chose whistle rings as their wedding rings as a reference to a very specific scene from the simpsons. it just so happens that channing is a huge simpsons fan (he quotes the show way too frequently in our everyday life and it usually goes right over my head), so he was more than happy to work some of the show’s dialogue into the ring exchange.
when your wedding party is just the two of you, and your only guests are your photographer & your officiant, you can basically do whatever you want after your ceremony, so after fawning over some cute dogs at the dog park next door, we took some portraits and then headed to some nearby local businesses to celebrate & take a few more photos.
