hey out there in blog-land, how’s it going? sometimes (actually, most of the time), i drag my camera places with me that aren’t actual photography jobs, and 97% of the photos sit sadly on my hard drives, never to see the light of day, and the other 3% go to facebook because my friends demand it of me. i actually really like some of the 97% of the pictures that wither away in loneliness, and i decided to give you all a little sample of what i do in my “time off.”
first off, some outtakes from lindsay’s senior portrait session (the full post of which is up next on the blog).
that’s jessica up there at the top, catching lindsay after forcing her to slide down a tiny banister against her will. i love the second one simply because of how excited makenzi is to be on camera (hi makenzi!). she’s jess and lindsay’s youngest sister, and she’s just as awesome as they are.
next up is a fabulous headshot i took for tyler, who i love deeply and who has recently moved to entertainment and therefore i do not see him enough. i need more of him in my life.
i recently took a trip with my family up to massachusetts to celebrate my uncle’s 50th birthday. he’s the youngest of the three brothers, which means they’re all old now! this next group of photos is all from that trip, including a few from his birthday dinner at blue ginger, ming tsai’s restaurant. and yes, i did get to meet ming tsai! this candy shmorgasboard greeted me in the lobby of our super fun hotel:
a few weeks ago, lady gaga came to town, and i was lucky enough to get to go to her show with some of my amazing friends. the let me bring my camera into the show, too, so you get a few of the hundreds of photos i took from the mosh pit.
here are two random shots of pie from the AMAZING pie festival we had in celebration recently. besides all-you-can-eat-pie, i got to meet adam gertler, who was just wandering around by himself! can you tell that i love the food network and it’s stars?
and last, but not least, jessica came back to orlando to visit everyone! we went to justine’s (you probably recognize her and her silly boyfriend from this post) and had a fun night of just dance two on the wii, and a lot of ridiculousness, as is normal with my friends.
so there it is, a tiny peek at the photos i take when i’m doing things that aren’t photography.
