sandy & brian {paradise cove wedding photographer}

sandy & brian’s wedding was my first of 2013, and i couldn’t have asked for a better way to kick off my year. after shooting a family session for sandy, brian, and their two boys (sandy’s son ryan and brian’s son gage) at the boardwalk resort last april, i was more than thrilled when sandy contacted me about shooting their wedding. though they don’t live locally, disney is fairly important in their lives, and they incorporated a few touches of it in their intimate wedding at paradise cove.

sandy’s brooch bouquet was made up of pieces from family members, which i loved! there was a story for every brooch, and her mother put the whole bouquet together for her.

hello, stunning bride!

we decided to do a first “non-look,” using the tallest hedge we could find. ryan was unsure how well brian was going to follow the rules of not looking at sandy, so he wanted to keep an eye on him. how cute is that?

brian’s face in the frame on the right? favorite.

sorry for the gratuitous ring shots, but those rings + those shoes = yowza!

ryan carried the rings into the ceremony in a family heirloom ring box before handing it off to best man gage. cutest ring bearer ever, and he was so proud!

clearly this day was very important and emotional to everyone involved, but sandy & brian are pretty much goofballs at heart – there were many more laughs than there were tears.

see? happiest bride!

someone caught me snapping a shot of him and grandpa. whoops.

sandy’s niece madison was her maid of honor, and her mom couldn’t be there – if this isn’t what facetime was invented for, i don’t know what was.

married!

the boys were so excited to take their shoes off and walk in the water as soon as the ceremony was over.

small weddings might be my new favorite! this lovely group was such a blast to work with.

goofballs.

these next three are possibly my favorites from the whole day.

sandy & brian (and gage & ryan & both families) – thank you so much for including me in such an important, intimate day. you were all wonderful, and i had so much fun hanging out with you. come back to florida soon!
