danielle & chris {walt disney world engagement photography}

i know, i know – i’m crazy behind on blog posts, and i’ve previewed about a gazillion sessions that i still haven’t blogged in full. i’ll get there eventually, but my schedule is still insane from the livingsocial deal.

 for now, though, i had to share danielle and chris’s engagement session. these two are from georgia, but they’re getting married at walt disney world next year, and i couldn’t have been more thrilled to spend some time with them! danielle is my first admitted “stalker,” which was about the best thing i’ve ever heard from a client. chris and danielle are so funny and sweet and easy to spend time with – i can’t wait for their wedding!

how gorgeous is danielle? seriously.

since the wedding is going to be at sea breeze point, we had to take some traditional “boardwalk wall” photos.

the big couch is back! if you’re a disney fanatic, you know what chair/couch/love seat i’m talking about, and if not, that’s it in the photo above. it’s perfect for photos, but they constantly take it away, so i never know if it will be there or not. i always get unnecessarily excited when it is there.

we even got to sneak a few photos in at beaches and cream before they opened for the day…thank you so much, waitress who was kind enough to turn the jukebox on for us!

once we’d circled the boardwalk, yacht club, and beach club, we headed to the polynesian for some more photos. these guys were serious troopers despite the killer heat. at least it wasn’t raining!

danielle, you’re going to be a seriously gorgeous bride. also, this was the most dramatic piggyback ride i have ever seen. i don’t think that makes sense unless you had been there to see it. you’ll just have to trust me.

i can not wait to see you ride to the wedding ceremony on one of these bikes, danielle! thank you both for being so awesome, and i’ll see you soon!

Question please. I thought outside photographers were not permitted to photograph professional pics on Disney property? Just asking. I am a semi pro and looking to do an engagement shoot soon. I called Disney’s professional photographer line and the person I spoke with just said everyone takes pics at Disney as long as I am not bringing a bunch of equipment? Thank you very much for your input.

Hi Debbie! As far as I know, outside photography is allowed at all resorts and Downtown Disney, but is not allowed inside the parks. If you’d like further details, I’d be happy to respond to an email from you – emilyrgilbert@gmail.com. Thanks! 🙂

congratulations!! {otherwise known as jess & curtis are engaged!}

An enormous CONGRATULATIONS to jess & curtis, who finally made it official and got engaged on saturday night!!! this clip is actually photos i took of the last time they were here in florida, but i figured it was appropriate for today. despite the fact that they did get engaged here in disney, and the fact that i got to see them while they were here, we didn’t have time for any photos this go-around. it doesn’t matter to me, though, because i got to see them (and leave jessica a hysterical – like, hysterical ha-ha and hysterical panicking – voicemail when i saw a missed call on my phone on saturday night) and that’s all that matters to me.

jess – you’re my sister even though we’re not related, and i can not wait to welcome curtis into the family! i love you both, and i can’t wait for your wedding!
