Thanks, Manda! Glad you like it! 🙂

kate, class of 2012! {orlando senior portrait photographer}

this absolutely gorgeous girl is kate, a member of this year’s graduating class! kate and her amazing mom, emily (best name ever!) contacted me about doing kate’s senior session at the grand floridian, and i was more than happy to work with them. as you can probably tell, it was far from hard to take photos of kate – she’s super photogenic, but she also wasn’t afraid to be herself and goof around, which always makes for better senior photos.

kate’s cheerleading team just won a national championship! we had to get some photos in what her mom called the coveted “marshmallow” jacket.

fun story (aka a story about how nuts i really am) – kate’s older brother, spencer, graduated from the same high school as kate (bishop moore) in 2009, so we were lucky enough to be able to use his cap and gown for a few shots since kate didn’t have hers yet. the only drawback was that the charm on the cap’s tassle said ’09. it would have been easy enough to keep it turned around backwards had the wind not been blowing like crazy, but as it was, i turned that tassle around about 1700 times. i think i may have gotten into a verbal sparring match with a hat in public. whatever. worth it.

it also happened to be emily’s birthday! someone may have finished her birthday drink upstairs at the bar while she was assisting me with photos, but the whole family was nice enough to spend a few minutes at the end of the session taking photos together. i love photogenic families! also, look at spencer’s bow tie! gator colors.  love it!

thanks again for letting me take your senior photos, kate! you’re going to do so well at university of florida this year. and an extra thanks to emily for being one of the coolest moms ever – you were super helpful, relaxed, and fun during kate’s session (a senior photographer’s dream come true, really).

if you’re interested in booking your senior photos with me, use the contact form here, or send me an email at emilyrgilbert@gmail.com. if you want to learn more about being a senior rep, and the possibility to earn your senior session for free(!), check out the application.
